That was the date when i joined one of the leading services company, Cognizant Technology Services. I was put into Mainframe Domain. My first thoughts on knowing that was, 'not at all good', caz i can see people from Civil background put into Java/DotNet/etc. But me, who has atleast little knowledge in those technologies, was forced to Mainframe. First two months were completely dedicated to training in Cognizant Academy, Siruseri (it was then still partly constructed site) in chennai. But as the training proceeded in MF020 (thats actually our Training Batch Name... missing those days guys), with fun-fun-fun-learning-exams, it all looked superb. Those COBOL, VSAM, SECTION, DB2, etc, etc (i dont remember much of those now :( ), were so much exciting. We had full fun in those 2wo months together. Cannot forget those GoldMiner, WordGame, Operation US, Outing, cultural event, all evergreen moments. Then one month into the MetLife Maintenance Project, where i was pretty much like being-in-an-unknow-territory. All those Abends, Lotus Notes, One COBOL Program, Onsite Call, and little discussion about the new expected Enhancement Project on our Domain, was really having fun at Navalur. Though its not too many years passed, i can manage to remember that N7 bus which i always board from Saidapet. It was nice until i got a call from Oracle Business Accelerators Group, where now i'm, as An Applications Database Administrator, where its toooooo good. Believe me when i say, Its too much fun out here. And hoping to continue the fun for years to come.
Got lot of new good friends in both the firms in this little short term in IT industry. Hoping to keep in touch with all of them ever. One Major change you'll notice, if you have seen me in college and if you have not seen me in work environment, is the calmness. And i actually lost the challenge from my colleague here, of being calm in one place for 5mins. I'm missing those calmness, but i'm enjoying this way much more than being calm. will end this with ,
From comments of "Kemp Fort - Shiva Mandir" :
I always like to start the day with Smiles... and this one forward from my friend, just did that to me.. enjoy reading...
I never take risk while drinking
When I come from office in the evening, wife is cooking
I can hear the noise of utensils in the kitchen
I stealthily enter the house
Take out the bottle from my black cupboard
Gandhiji is looking at me from the photo frame
But still no one is aware of it
Becoz I never take a risk
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
I take out the glass from the rack above the old sink
Quickly enjoy one peg
Wash the glass and again keep it on the rack
Of course I also keep the bottle inside my cupboard
Gandhiji is giving a smile
.
.
.
.
.
I peep into the kitchen
Wife is cutting potatoes
No one is aware of what I did
Becoz I never take a risk
.
.
.
.
.
I to my wife : Any news on chopra's daughter's marriage
Wife : Nope, she doesn't seem to be that lucky. Still they are looking out for her .
.
.
.
.
.
I again come out; there is a small noise of the black cupboard
But I don't make any sound while taking out the bottle
I take out the glass from the old rack above sink
Quickly enjoy one peg
.
.
.
.
.
Wash the bottle and keep it in the sink
Also keep the Black Glass in the cupboard
But still no one is aware of what I did
Becoz I never take a risk
.
.
.
.
.
I to Wife : But still I think chopra's daughter's age is not that much
Wife: What are you saying? She is 28 yrs old... like an aged horse
I: (I forgot her age is 28) Oh Oh...
.
.
.
.
.
.
I again take out potatoes out from my black cupboard
But the cupboard's place has automatically changed
I take out the bottle from the rack and quickly enjoy one peg in the sink .
.
.
.
.
.
Gandhiji laughs loudly
I keep the rack in the potatoes & wash Shivaji Maharaj's photo & keep it in the black cupboard .
.
.
.
.
.
Wife is keeping the sink on the stove
But still no one is aware of what I did
Becoz I never take a risk
.
.
.
.
.
I to Wife: (getting angry) you call Mr. chopra a horse? If you say that again, I willcut your tongue...!
Wife: Don't just blabber something, go out and sit quietly...
.
.
.
.
.
.
I take out the bottle from the potatoes
Go in the black cupboard and enjoy a peg
Wash the sink and keep it over the rack
Wife is giving a smile
.
.
.
.
.
Gandhiji is still cooking
But still no one is aware of what I did
Becoz I never take a risk
.
.
.
.
.
.
I to Wife : (laughing) So chopra is marrying a horse!!
Wife: Hey go and sprinkle some water on your face...
.
.
.
.
.
.
I again go to the kitchen, and quietly sit on the rack
Stove is also on the rack
There is a small noise of bottles from the room outside .
.
.
.
.
I peep and see that wife is enjoying a peg in the sink
But none of the horses are aware of what I did
Becoz Gandhiji never takes a risk .
.
.
.
.
.
Chopra is still cooking
And I am looking at my wife from the photo and laughing
Becoz I never take...... never take ..... never take what??? I never take a potato I think...
Note:
Here 'I' has no reference to me at all... not in future too :)
Its feels little strange to have a post with the title "mandir" in my blog. but still, it does not feel any odd to write about it. Yesterday i went to this temple, near the old HAL airport. Actually i was accompanying my friend, who wanted to go to this temple (its very rare for me to accompany someone to 'Temple', unless u're like a celebrity to me. Most of my friends will know, how hard it is to make me accompany them to go to Temple, and eventually they can't). I usually go for little walk in the same road, and never knew where exactly this one is located (honestly, never bothered to know). so, took an auto from domlur fly-over and the auto driver stopped the auto, showing the entrance, in less than five minutes from the start. i said, "I have crossed this place for atleast 30rty times, but never knew that such a temple exists here", as we cant see the Big statue from outside. Entered through the small cave like entrance, and finally could have a glimpse of that huge statue.
Entered the temple, after getting a "Mobile Camera Ticket", caz i'm completely enthusiastic in taking pictures than.... And this is the first time i saw a place where there is a separate ticket for Mobile Camera. Its good that we got it, caz one security guy in the temple premise asked me for the ticket when i was taking pics. Adding to that place, the climate was really awesome. It was dark clouds, lite drizzles. Perfect setup to make you feel like you're in Amarnath, tho you're in Bangalore only. My friend, as usual, got those pooja stuffs and i dont have to tell you, completely into spiritual mode (not me ). But in that 30rty minutes we spent there, around 20nty minutes went for just taking pictures ( i will take back the word 'spiritual mode', just for this ;) )
Overall , It was very nice place to be. And i feel like, you need to go when there is not much crowd, to enjoy the place more, both visually and spiritually. But dont miss this place, when you're in bangalore.
First thing which i tried in the new search site is, search for "redthil". I was expecting this blog to be in the first Hit. But it was not like that. And not even in the first page. I immediately tried in the Yahoo and Google. And got consoled on seeing those results. So, As of now, i'm not impressed very much about it, as it may take little while for my blog site to be in the search techniques of this bing. So, hoping for better results.
It makes you feel great, when you hear your favorite music, always. i literally forget that, it was me who selected what songs i need to have in my mobile playlist, just enjoy each and every song. And these days, i have become kind of addict to hear music (if you followed my blog, you know it already). and that too when i listen to my most favorite songs, i'm not realizing what i'm doing and where i'm. its makes me feel like i'm in a different world, my own dream world. its not just beautiful, its way more than that. its hard to describe.
Music is one consistent entity, in the way that, when you're sad, it makes you feel happy and when you're happy, it makes you more happy. when you finally stop that music, you feel refreshed, and re-born from that moment. And at times, it also helps you in improving your concentration on what you're doing, filtering-out all the external disturbances. i would suggest you to listen to music, when you're very much frustrated, more angry, feel even little sad. It gives you lot of positive energy. And will end this small crappy post, ,thanking all those musicians who comes out with those awesome music and those lyric writers for those amazing words.
"Majja Run" or "Sunfeast 10K Bangalore Marathon" was held last Sunday at kanteerava stadium. It was really like a mini carnival. Thousands and Thousands of people gathered at the stadium, i un-officialy heard that it crossed around 23000 [apologies for the typo mistake. thanks asit] (uh) . Though it was termed as "10K Marathon", i believe only few hundreds were actually running for the timings. Those who run for the timings, should get the timing chip in-advance, with a deposit of Rs. 500, and more than that, there was a huge queue for that too. It was good that, there was an option to choose between 10km (with numbers in red colour) and 5+km (with numbers in green colour) running. So it was easy for many to choose the second one, tho they luv to go for the first ;) . Only the 10K runners were given Participation Certificate. So, for others, It was truly Majja Run only.
I can see lot and lots of groups/organizations flocked in the stadium, with one reason, RFC "running for cause", tho they were for so many different causes. Me, as a part of Oracle Volunteers, had combined with CRY.org (Child Rights and You), to bring awareness to the people on the Child Rights. So, we got an Yellow CRY T-Shirt, which had messages written about the Child Rights. We all assembled near the CRY stall, opposite to the Mallaya Hospital, and started our RFC together. We entered the stadium through Gate 11 and by the time we went in, we could see the Prize distribution ceremony for the winners of the marathon shown in the Stadium Screen. Similar to Us, several companies had combined with several 'non-profit' organizations, all RFC. i couldnt believe that, there so-many such organizations. Each one were allowed to start the run in separate intervals, and our chance came after 45mins since the real race has ended.
We started our RFC, having placards in our hands, with slogans emphasizing Child Rights. I was kind of jogging for 1.5 km. i really like walking, more than running or jogging ( i'm not saying just for this sake. its very true. i luv walking). so, started walking after that and reached the finish line in around 45 mins (not bad ;) ). took some pics with my colleagues who were also part of this majja run. then went to one of the oldest hotels in Bangalore, Airlines Hotel. it was kind of brunch. And as you know, i'm in DIET, had LITTLE fud, thats all. :)
Not-So-Majja
Everything was fine, except one thing, which i felt very very VERY bad in this Majja Run. They were giving small Kingfisher water bottles all along the running path. It was really a nice one, but those people who got those, just senselessly threw the bottles on the road. both the sides of the road were completely filled with waste water bottles. we hav to run/walk on the middle of the road only. even few feet away from the center, u're sure to stamp on waste bottle. And those people, who threw, are the ones who are campaigning for some cause. was worried very much on, Why those people never bothered about this one. Only for this reason, i would say, this is not at all a "majja run". And the worst thing was, there was campaign for Zero Waste too. i have no words to describe how pathetic it is. I still doubt whether all those waste empty bottles were taken off and recycled in proper place. Hope they did the Cure atleast, though they didnt prevent it from happening.
For past many months, i always had plans for weekend fixed days before, even iif i'm goin to be in bang and taking full rest, i would know in early that i'm goin to do so. Last weekend was not so. This was the kind of "Unexpected Weekend" which i was expecting for looong time, for me to get refreshed. Full fun, unexpected turn of events, and relax too. i was awaiting for such one , and finally got it. i cant expect more than this. rather i wont expect more than this.
(So what???) By any chance, if you feel like, i have, not talked to you, or not called you, or not replied to your call, or not msged you, or not replied to your msg, or not pinged you, or not replied to your ping, or not replied to your comments, or didnt disturb you.... tons of apologies from me... me confident that it wont happen again. you can see me back in form now. me totally (re-)charged to bug you all. see ya...
The pic is good! BTW, the credit goes to me. Without me forcing you, you wouldn't have discovered this big statue by urself.
Dei! am not a celebrity to u, am your friend, in fact best. I don't know when you will ask who I am! ;-)
Than to get into spiritual mood, I wanted to spend a pleasant evening with you. I always feel temple is a very good option for a pleasant, drizzling evening!
Other options I could think of are, when drizzling or raining,
1) a long walk in 100 feet road, either chating or listening to music
2) a little walk listening to music or chating session or dancing session with all our friends in the park in your colony
2) a cup of tea in that small eating outlet near that photo shop
3) a cup of tea in Coffee Day, 100 feet road
4) Bajji + tea at home, of course prepared by me
We should try all these things during my next visits to Bang!!
