5 things eSpecial about last Weekend..

Being an IT Professional in this Computer Era, got very much used to prefix "e" in all the possible words in english.. not able to recover from that mania. thats just small note about the title. let me add more meaning to it. i recently read a quote which goes like this, "no day is an unimportant day". But last two days, indeed was more special to me in many things. but tried to consolidate it into 5 major events/happenings/moments/u can call it however u want. Here's the countdown...

5. Being at my Bangalore house in weekend.

The weekends in whole June was really busy one. Attending Marriages, going out with friends, visiting home and lot more. So, after One and Half months, i enjoyed being at my bangalore home. Adding to that, the office work load was little more last week. It was like going for a vacation. Enjoyed watching few children in my street playing "7Stones", pleasant morning walks, n lot more.. to put in short, complete relaxation.

4. Watched few of my all time fav movies.

Though there's laptop, nothing can beat watching our favorite movies in TV. Watched ICE AGE 2 twice, Mask of Zorro, The Blind Dating, etc. Also happened to watch many of my favourite weekend programs in History Channel after very very very looong time. This was like chocolate sauce added to vanilla ice cream.

3. Dramatic Formula 1 British Grand Prix.

Moving to sports, last two days has been filled with lot of sporting actions. And India - Srilanka Asia Cup finals was my least priority one. Watched that match during the Ad breaks while watching Formula 1 British Grand Prix. This whole GP was so dramatic, right from the practice sessions on friday , till the post-race interview. During saturday's Qualifying, a small mistake from Hamilton caused his pole-position dream on his home country. And the qualifying was so amazing that in the Q3, after the checquerd flag waved, there were four different drivers who changed the pole position timings. Finally, it was Hekki, who hold on and went for pole-position in Sunday's Race. Hamilton managed to start from the second row, along with Raikkonen. And the most dramatic one was from Massa, who met with a huge crash and he couldnt recover from that, even in the Sunday's Race. And moving to Sunday's Wet Race, Hamilton took the lead with a fantastic start in the first lap and continued to race at his best. none could challenge his lead, except Kimi who was unlucky by the poor Ferrai pit-stop strategy. At the end, Hamilton was able to Lap all the cars in the track, except the podium finishers. Amazing Drive by Hamilton. A well deserved victory for him and his childhood dream came true. Adding to the drama is the usual unpredicted change in weather at Silverstone. (For few, this may look like greek and latin. But bear with me ppl.. even the next is going being to be something similar to this.)

2. Nail biting Wimbledon Finals.

The whole world was waiting for such a match, a match between No.1 and No.2 of the Tennis World. Match between Federer and Nadal. The same was the case for past 2 years. But all these years, Federer was dominant in grass. But this year, after the blown away defeat in Roland Garros, i think Federer was little worried. He was going for the 6th consecutive Wimbledon Title and Nadal was going for his dream. And Federer's worst nightmare came true when Nadal was leading the match with 2 sets with him, going to the third set. Federer was shouting, screaming, nervous in both the sets. Then came the turning point in the match (in my opinion), an intervention by the rain. i was so happy to see the words "Play suspended due to rain" for the first time when Federer is playing. Federer prepared himself mentally and came back strong , once the play resumed. from then onwards, it was just amazing tennis from both of them. for every point , both were playing as if the opponent has championship point. Tremendous power from Nadal's Forehand and smooth slices from Federer's Backhand. i literally could not sit and watch the match. I was walking in-front of the TV, biting my nails. And the amazing thing is that they were playing asif they are playing the first set, i mean with the same level of energy, even in the final (fifth) set after 4:30 hours of play on court. This is probably the best tennis match i ever watched till now. I really feel so bad for Federer, but hats off for Nadal.

1. emotional adieu.

This is for one of my frenz who left Bangalore for pursuing higher studies in US. No more words to describe. And i rate this as the most important moment of all. have never told u ( i dont think i have to, but still)- "Wherever u go, whatever u do, our friendship will never let u down..."
-The End-
